Upgrading to FX-8350 on Asus M5A87

Upgrading to FX-8350 on Asus M5A87 motherboard.Asus website states that it's supported as long as I upgrade the bios but the question is will it perform well or should I consider upgrading to say the 990FX? any help is much appreciated :)

I would DEFINITELY update the bios and not spend money on a new board. The good news for you is that ASUS has a really good bios update utilities. I found that updating my bios was quite easy. Just besure to read the instructions thoroughly.
