Approximate Purchase Date: Anytime within the next three weeks

Budget Range: Looking to spend around $900. Willing to spend a little about bit more if necessary.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: I will be using the computer mostly for streaming movies, Video Editing, using adobe premiere/after effects, and a little gaming. General usage

Are you buying a monitor: No.

Parts to Upgrade: Everything

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:None

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota. I will be assembling the computer myself

Parts Preferences: The only preference that I may prefer is probably an Intel Processor. Would like to consider running a raid system with an SSD drive for the operating system and adobe

Overclocking: No? I dont know if I will be doing any overclocking since I am not a hardcore gamer

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe? Only if it is needed?

Your Monitor Resolution:, 1920x1080. I also plan on using the computer to connect onto a 55-60 inch TV for time to time.

Additional Comments: ideally a quiet computer, aesthetically nice looking case.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm upgrading because my current computer is quite slow. I would like a nice running system that won't lag with video editing.

Thanks for the recommendation. Would you suggest a running a SSD Drive alone for the operating system and maybe even for Adobe After Effects for faster performance? And if so, which SSD Drive would be good?

Oh I did not see that he had alteady sugggested a ssd drive.

Thanks for the consideration with the psu and operating system. So going with your considered psu and operating system, everything else should be good to go with the type of system I am looking for? I will be doing moderate video editing and maybe a little gaming if I get the chance.

Yes, it's a well balanced build. There are a few little things I would change, but it's mostly just personal preference based on the brands I prefer (Gigabyte/ASUS motherboards and G.Skill RAM). I didn't feel like I should pick the build apart just based on personal preference. bodeen2012 did a good job putting together a nice rounded system for your intended use.

If you're interested in my personal opinion then I would go with the following motherboard and RAM if it was my own build:

GIGABYTE GA-H87M-D3H LGA 1150 Intel H87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard $99.99

G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2 $84.99

The build is looking good! It looks like you still have both RAM kits in the build. You also went from a micro ATX case to a full size ATX case. If you stick with the bigger case you might as well get an ATX motherboard instead of micro ATX. Here's a nice list of ATX motherboards. The GA-Z87X-D3H and GA-Z87X-UD3H are both very nice ATX boards.

Ok, I've got everything ordered except the video card since they are not in stock. I see that newegg has a video for slightly less, the 1GB version. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125454&clickid=wgUQ8v1CDzPHWYzQG33C4QgWUkT1-0SV10rX2E0&iradid=97618&ircid=2106&irpid=79301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na

Is this the same as the one listed? What will the difference in performance be with this 1gb video card and the 2gb video card?

Or is there any other alternative video card equal in performance? I'm welling to spend no more than around 170 for a good video card. Thanks!
