I ran my first round of benchmarks today, and I'm reasonably pleased with the scores.

3DMark: ~9000
PCMark: 5329

What is confusing me is that in the system details at the end of both tests it lists my RAM as 4x 4GB DDR3 @800MHz

I checked in BIOS and it says it's running at 1600MHz. The RAM is supposed to be 2400MHz.

Am I misunderstanding something, or is something configured incorrectly?

DDR3 = Double Data Rate revision 3
Some software will read the original frequency rather than the "doubled" figure, thats why it says 800Mhz. Double that and you have the 1600Mhz that your BIOS is saying.

Enable the RAM's XMP profile, that should bring the RAM up to the advertised specs.
