Computer booting ploblem Please help

Ive been building my first pc tonight and I finally put all the components into the case, but for some reason when i hit the power all the fans come on for 1 second then shut off and nothing else happens. Can someone tell me what this means?
Specs:
Thermaltake tr2 700w
motherboard: msi z77a-g41
cpu: intel i5 3570k
gpu gtx 770 windforce
ram- 8gb g skill 2133

It could be that you have a bad stick of RAM. Try booting the computer with just one stick installed, if it does not work, remove that stick and put the other in. Then use process of elimination to determine which one is bad. I can almost guarantee this is your problem. If none of the sticks work you probably have incompatible RAM. Check your motherboard manual for ram compactibililty

Sounds like a motherboard, power supply, or grounding issue.

If you have too many standoffs holding the motherboard up touching where they aren't supposed to, that could be causing problems.

No power on at all = power or motherboard typically.
