after cpu install i can't get the monitor or any of the externals to come on but my mouse has power??? HELP!!!

installed a new cpu, everything was installed properly, but i can't get any monitors or keyboards to come on i get power to my mouse (light comes on ) but nothing else. The computer runs (no random shut downs or stuff turning off). any tips?
