I'm not new with PC's but I am new at diy builds...is there anything funky in this build? Or is there better routes that I could take for a little more or less $?. Thanks in advance.

Solution
I would spend less on motherboard ($150-200) and get a stronger GPU at least a GTX770! As well I recommend 2 x 8 GB instead of 4 x 4GB ram.
