Display screen smaller than monitor screen

So i updated to windows 8.1 and since then, my display screen is smaller than my monitor screen allows it to be and i am unable to change it. I go into the advanced settings to try and click on the "My Digital Flat Panel" but all that pops up is "HydraVision". if it helps, the screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 and my graphics card is and AMD Radeon HD 8670D. Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

Have you tried your monitor settings? There should be a X-axis stretch and Y-axis stretch setting in your monitor settings itself. Then after you stretch your screen, in Windows make sure your resolution is set to 1920 x 1080.

Yes i tried that and it didn't work. I just need to get to My Digital Flat Panel but i can't figure out how no after i updated to windows 8.1... is there anyway to go back to windows 8 and get rid of 8.1?

@zPRODIGYo - Did you ever resolve this? My mother had the same thing happen last week. She upgraded to 8.1 a few weeks ago and the smaller display just showed up on her Asus laptop yesterday. I thought I found a fix online but can't find it now that I'm ready to try. Yours was the only description that sounded the same. She would be happy to go back to Windows 8 as well.
