Hey guys, I just ordered some brand new parts for my first custom gaming computer, and I'm looking to offload my current gaming computer (Pre built by CyberPowerPC) to a local PC shop here that is interested in looking at it. I don't particularly want to get swindled, so I thought I would come here and get some opinions.

Was bought in 2011. No parts have been OC'd

Here's what's in it:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Also selling it with a 21" Acer LCD monitor (not HDMI)

Paid $1000 for it.

What do you guys think?

That;s what I was thinking as well, wanted some other opinions on the matter considering it's a used product and all.

Maybe if anyone here works or runs a PC shop could tell me what they'd try to resell this for, it'd help a lot.

Out of curiousity, why are you upgrading from that machine? Even by today's standards, that's a pretty decent rig.

Just doesn't perform well enough for what I want it to do. Especially with these demanding MMOs coming out this year.

you paid $1000 for it 3 years ago...

every six months its a drop of 10-15% at least

thats $100-400. now remember this is what they could possibly sell it for. what they will offer you is quite a bit less.

i would say if they offer you $200-250 you didnt do too bad.

you would get more selling it to another person than selling it to a shop. perhaps $100 more (perhaps about $300-350 total) but you would need to find someone who wanted older hardware. considering that for $200 more they could do much better in performance not sure its a wise investment for all but the budget crowd.

I would sell it on ebay for around 350-450.
