I don't know what topic this supposed to be in, but feel free to move it.

Ok, i got a brand new PC with:
GTX 780
I7 CPU
16 GB RAM
1 T of memory
120 GB of ssd memory
windows 8.1.

Now to the problem. I have couple games on this pc that work like a charm but some has very terrible FPS and performance.

For example, i got the Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and DayZ Standalone and both games run at low settings at 10-20 fps, while BF4 and Assassins creed black flag can run on ultra settings at 60+ FPS. What is wrong? i don't understand? All my nvidia drivers up to date. My laptop can run at higher fps, but a desktop?

I would appreciate a ton if i can get some guidelines and help to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance!

Don't worry about dayz, it is a HORRIBLY OPTIMIZED game. But chivalry... it can be graphically demanding but your 780 should be able to handle it. Try messing around with it's settings.

I think all the drivers are up to date. I'll try verifying and reinstalling. How do i check the games version?

If you have the games on Steam, they'll automatically update, no need to check for the latest version, but I've had issues with corrupt files so checking them is a good idea.
If you were seeing this with every game, I'd agree with Shadow32 and that the PSU might be the issue but if the system can run BF4 etc at good settings I don't think that is the problem.
Not sure about Chivalry, but DayZ is in the early Alpha phase of development (it's not finished), so have a read of the Steam message boards for each game and drop the Devs of both games a line and see what they say.

Your PSU is fine. It's just poorly optimized games. Hence the reason you can play newer titles at max settings. For me I can play BF4 on ultra with my 760, but I dip below 60 FPS in garry's mod because of the poorly optimized, if at all, user made maps.
