Hi everyone

I am building a media center / server that will need to encode and transcode videos and would be grateful for your advice.

I have selected most of the items but would be interested in any views on an appropriate Power supply that is quiet enough to sit in the living room and efficient for under AUD$100.

My preferred site is: MSY.com.au

Case: Fractal Node 304
Motherboard: ASRock Z87E-ITX
CPU: Intel Core i5-4570
CPU Cooler: Stock
RAM: G.Skill-NT 1600 8GB
HDD: I have a SSD and two x 3TB drives.

Unfortunately I have a limited selection from the preferred supplier but could order online from other websites. I am looking at a couple of PSUs at MSY:
Antec TPC-450 $99
Corsair CX500 V3 $85

Thanks

This is a better one:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Power Supply: Silverstone 450W 80+ Bronze Certified SFX Power Supply ($95.00 @ CPL Online)
Total: $95.00
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Thanks filippi.
Unfortunately PCPartPicker says there is a compatibility problem with the SFX PSU and the Fractal Case. Any other suggestions?

Hi - are you going to use a video card/GPU? I figured you'd be using one if you're doing video work.

It makes a big difference in PSU needs.

Hi I won't be using a GPU. I am only encoding DVD ISOs into MP4 for viewing on my tv etc. and transcoding existing files to play through xbox. I believe the CPU will be doing most of the heavy lifting here.
Thanks
