ok so im getting my first gaming pc but the problem is that im on budget if i get mobo with 970 chipshet i can only go with gtx 760,but if i get AMD 760G mobo chipset i can get like r9 280x because the AMD 760G mobo is like 70 bucks less,so is there fps diference in games and what is best buy THANKS P.S

If you are getting an FX CPU then its preferred to get the 970 or up chipset.

If you get an 8-core FX then you really are forced to get at least a 970 chipset board since the 760G chipset will definitely have overheating and throttling problems couple with such a high wattage CPU.

Please do not get ANY MSI 970 or 760G chipset board, al their low end boards are very bad.

Well considering I work with PC components for a living I would say they are still great boards but again these are budget boards we are talking about not high end mpower boards

Sigh... Trust me when I say this, if you look at the PHYSICAL components used on those MSI 970 boards, then they CAN not be even decent. Nevermind great.

I build rigs for clients just about every day and have used plenty of MSI 970 chip boards for budget gaming rigs and have had no problems or negative feed back most of which are over clock running with decent temps and stability so clearly they are decent enough to work

No, budget is NOT all that matters. There is a certain bar of quality and reliably you do not go under.

Your clients are lucky or they do not bother to get back to you.

MSI 970 chipset board problems are a fact. Simple google search will proovide you plenty of proof. Even an analysis of the components, but builders do not always understand that part due to a lack in understanding.

Also I never said I do not hear back from my customers I never get negative feed back. But I do indeed hear back and have repeat customers once again the question was about BUDGET boards.

Kids this days believe anything they read on the net and start bashing on companies that are trying hard to survive at this current economy and the reason for the failures you read on the net can be many reasons.

Installing the latest top of the line processor without updating the bios via usb or motherboard it all varies by company in different methods. Not reading the warnings or understanding the components based on the recommended manufacture settings for that type of hardware. Getting the wrong power supply expecting a 500W to power 2 video cards requiring 32 amps each not single rail and using i7 or 8350+ water cooling setup and using incompatible memory. Overclocking the cpu and memory like mad when they first boot up expecting the system to be stable before installing the OS to check the temps via hardware monitor and next thing you know the os crashes the system and wont boot up anymore.

Then what happens next? the customer gets mad and gives it a negative feedback asap without taking the time to troubleshoot and demands a refund or an exchange for the top of the line motherboard wasting his or her cash for features they will never use because a friend with no knowledge said so. My gigabyte 30$ motherboard 4+1 is over 5 years old running an AMD 1055T 125W at stock settings and still runs like new booting up to the dekstop in 6 seconds on my 2TB seagate idles at 24C and chipset at 22c mobo 27c. All the computers i been building for my clients and myself since the 90s called budget boards has lasted a very long time and never gave me any problems.

If you read everything i said then you have the time to research how motherboard components work instead of bashing budget boards giving the company a bad rep.

LOL That fact that he says he will take the time to search for any recommendations you make on a MSI budget board should be more than enough to explain everything about this guy's trendy Google knowledge. I have had great service from My old MSI budget board. It is a P55-GD65. It has run my overclocked i5 750 (Air Cooled) for 5 years. And it's the Gigabyte boards That are having trouble with FX chips throttling. The MSI boards are actually some of the few brands of boards that don't throttle a Vishera chip. I also like the trendy intellectual "sigh" he ads as a response. Very MSNBC and Trendy LOL
