I'm assembling a new PC and I got myself an AMD FX-6350. I was looking for a Gigabyte motherboard to go along with it and happened to find a GA-990FXA-UD5 rev. 3.0 at a reasonable price, however I haven't bought it yet because I'm afraid the processor won't work without a BIOS update and that I won't be able to update it without a supported processor.
I looked at Gigabytes's website for information and all I can find is that the FX-6350 is compatible with the FCb BIOS version.
Here's the link: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4455
Do I truly need this BIOS update in order to use the processor?
Is there a way to update the BIOS using the FX-6350?
Hope you guys can help me.
