I've just built my first pc and attempting my first OC. I'm a complete noob at this. Current setup also includes Asus Maximus VI Hero and using 4x4gb ram on XMP.
Currently set at x42 @1.18V XMP enabled and pretty much everything on auto.
I ran the Intel Burn test 10 passes on v. high and got max temp 86oC, which i think is high. and Aida64 for 8hrs+ and max temp hits 74oC average 61oC. Do these temp seem fine? I was expecting lower because of the low voltage i used and i thought the d14 was a decent cooler.

D14 is a decent cooler however its also a quiet cooler. I use generally prime 95 however running large fft's in prime I get in the 65 to 70 degree range during stress testing. If I switch to small fft's I can force it up to 80-85 degrees however. Haswell runs hot however your temps look normal for that cooler.
