Can I run a XFX Radeon HD 7870 Core Ed. 2GB DDR5 PCIe 3.0 card on my psu is rated 460w? I've included the psu specs. The card also requires 2 6-pin connectors, but the psu has 1. Can I use a 6-Inch SATA Power to 6 Pin PCI Express Video Card Power Cable Adapter? I don't have experience upgrading a psu. Thanks for helping.

Because it is a Delta unit, it probably does have the capacity to run that card. If your system become unstable under load, however, upgrade the PSU immediately as the instability could be cause by out-of-spec voltages.
Replacing a PSU is not particularly difficult. Cable are all keyed and only go in one way.

Yes that PSU will have no problems running a HD7870 because it has a strong combined +12 volt rail.
