Harware Monitor - is it GPU or CPU?

I built a small system for my nieces.
It is an Acer Veriton S670G.

2+2 = 4Gb ram 1066MHZ
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.8GHZ
160+160GB HDD
Sapphire Hd7750 1 GB http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/produc...
PSU - It is some 300Watt psu ( i can not get its model or picture at the moment)

---------------

idle temps:
GPU: 53C
CPU: 34C

during normal games like Limbo, Braid the temps are:
GPU: 73C
CPU 36C

While playing Mirrors edge on highest, Tomb raider 2013 on high after 30 minutes the pc shuts down - i think it happens when GPU hits 104+ C temperature, CPU remains on 40-45C.

Is it GPU or PSU? Look at this image when playing Limbo and then playing Mirrors Edge for 10 minutes (the right one) - Look at the GPU temperature 104C:

Solution
Check the heat sink for something blocking airflow. Also make sure the fan is spinning. (Don't just take the sensors word for it)

i am testing the system right now. Playing Mirrors Edge and GPU is already on 75C (idle was 54C). It will keep rising until after 30 minutes it will reach 110C and will shutdown.
I have been thinking it is due to underpowered PSU? because it is placed in a pretty cool place.

I will post one more snaphost of HW monitor when GPU temperature will rise to 104-105C

No there is nothing I hear. The game starts to stutter before shutting down. Look at this image below: before and after playing mirrors edge for 10 minutes.

I will try that afterburn now.

Open the side of the case and see if the fan is even working. MSi afterburn will show you fan speed at the bottom of the window, think it gives it in %. If you go into the setting you can move the fan speed up or down as the card gets hot or colder.

Here is the fan speed from afterburn. It seems to be working. it minimized it after playing a game ant it showed this:

OKay, thanks. The system is at my nieces' place and they are too inexperienced to open it themselves. i was checking everything using remote connection. they will ask someone to do it for them. I will report back then. I guess either is bad heatsink or bad airflow like you said. thanks guys. I will report back.

EDIT: it has been fixed. it was indeed the GPU. the card was being pushed down by the tight casing and it would heat up for some reason. Now that we loosened its screws it is perfect! the temperature wont go above 50C!
