I recently tried some DIY upgrades to a desktop PC that didn't work out the way I had planned. As part of the upgrading, I acquired an Intel DZ68BC mobo and purchased new RAM (CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B). Turns out the mobo was DOA.
After figuring that out, I decided to go with a full blown system build, rather than just upgrading an old PC, so I bought the ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer mobo and an Intel i5-4670 CPU. I am planning to use the same RAM I had purchased for the Intel DZ68BC mobo, but have some concern about the RAM's compatibility with the new mobo.
ASRock has a Memory Support List on their website that lists specific RAM manufacturers and model numbers that are compatible with this board. The RAM I had purchased originally for the upgrade is not listed, but based on the specs I have read from the mobo users manual and for the RAM itself, it appears compatible. Should I only use RAM listed on the ASRock Memory Support List, or am I safe to use the RAM I already purchased?
Link to Memory Support List is ASRock Memory Support List
Link to RAM I purchased Corsair Vengeance Model CMZ8GX3M2A
Link to motherboard specs is ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer Specs

Solution
Use the ram u have on hand it should be fine, they dont have every stick of ram ever manufactured to test with, they just yest what is laying around, it should be perfectly fine in your system.
