Im just about to build my pc and dont have a static wrist band but iv been told if i hold onto the case when it is pluged in but powered of it will be ok to build it what do you guys suggest thanks
You don't need a static wrist band. Just get into the habit of touching a metal part of the case before actually reaching inside. Your PC should ALWAYS be unplugged before working on the internals.
Wear only cotton clothes, either wear shoes or barefeet (no socks) and do not build it on carpet. Touch the case before you touch any parts everytime you got for a new part. Should be fine built a dozen or so, never ised wristband, never had build not work

My case is painted inside and outside were will i hold it
No dont plug it in... just dont stand on carpet, and dont wear socks only, and you'll be fine. Always run the risk of having a partially defective switch and cooking something. Not likely but more likely than you shocking something if you're wearing cotton and discharge static b4 you start.
