I need help deciding between the r9 270x, gtx 660 (already purchased as a spur of the moment thing and starting to regret it), and hd 7870. I need someone to list out a pros and cons list of these all in addition to whats the best brands to buy them and where to buy them from at the best prices that they are currently in stock too! I know I'm asking a lot but I believe in you! Haha.
My computer so far...
CPU: FX 8320- going to overclock to 8350 speeds ($160)
GPU: purchased msi gtx 660 twin frozr III but havnt unwrapped so I can return ($170)
Case: Phantom 410 Black ($99)
Ram: 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance 1600 ($80)
Mobo: undecided
PSU: HELP something 500/550w?
HDD: Samsung 1tb
Monitor: vizio 1080p led smart tv (so I can use the apps without having to start my computer constantly to watch tv. It's a 2 in 1)

The performance is the same, neither Me or you are right!

660 cost a bit more and they are older. 270x is a newer card wich is one +
660 has CUDA cores = good with Adobe After Effects / Photoshop and other Adobe software
270x has Open CL = is getting better than CUDA and Sony Vegas supports it

A good 270x is 270x HAWK, very smexy looking card with a big performance boost and you get BF4 to it for free.

It's up to you, buuuuuutttttttt I would like that 270x a bit more than 660 to be honest.

Why wouldn't it be a more price concerning idea to just get a good version of the 7870 and OC it to 270x standards? Or should I find an OC version f the 270x? And are any of the Radeon cards more reliable than the nvidia? I've known them to be a very stable card so I don't know much about the amd ones

Yeah. The 660Ti is as fast or a little faster than a 270x, but they are all but impossible to find for a reasonable price now, and they are a last generation card. I would definitely go with the 270x over the regular 660. It's faster, and it's a newer generation, so it has some of the new features like mantle, which may or may not matter, but also is the same architecture as the console graphics this gen so that may help down the road as well.

I don't upgrade real often, but when I do I always try to go current gen, not last gen, though that's just personal preference.

So where would I be able to buy this hawk edition from a reliable company? Newegg is out of stock. I'm fine with returning my current 660 as it is last gen and that was one of my fears as it would allow for better later on down the road with a newer gen. And I have seen great reviews about the 270x except the flickering issue a few people had. And if I can stick around the $230 price that newegg had that would be ok. Or is there a 270 hawk or something with excellent cooling for cheaper that I can overclock myself to go to speeds of the 270x or more?
