Very cheap external hard disk -- did I make a hasty choice?

Got a 1TB external hard drive off of Flipkart:
http://www.flipkart.com/seagate-expansion-falcun-1-tb-external-hard-disk/p/itmdpwewqfzfwfrf?pid=ACCDBEF64UHH7B6R

That drive I got for INR 3843.
However, I enquired with my local retailer, and he said that a 1TB drive will cost me around INR 5500.

This is the disk on Seagate's site:
http://www.seagate.com/in/en/external-hard-drives/portable-hard-drives/standard/expansion-portable/#features

Model STBX1000301

What do others think? in US dollars that comes to around $62.
I'm getting the impression that it was a tad bit too cheap as the model from other sellers varies from INR 5000 to INR 5600.

What do others think? I have sometimes seen components being sold for cheap on newegg and such, but am still worried.

3990 on amazon so you did alright.
Probably the drives aren't being made anymore and are being reduced to move them out of stock would be my guess. They got good reviews but remember to never trust 1 device to hold your only copy of important stuff and you will be safe even if it dies an early death.

Probably, the model I mentioned is not on newegg, so that could be true.
