Windows 8.1 Laptop - Desktop keeps crashing/refreshing after installing SSD Drive

I have an ASUS N550JV-DJ72T and I removed the disk drive and installed a SSD to run windows and programs from. After cloning the drive making it first in the boot order the desktop keeps crashing/refreshing about every minute or 2. The programs open aren't effected and remeain open and working but the desktop itself on the laptop keeps stopping to work. Its happened a few times while I type this but hasn't interrupted me. Is there any way to fix this?

  1. And if you swap the old HDD back in how does it behave? Let it update and install any programs that you installed to the SSD.

I wouldnt necessarily blame it on the SSd at this point, it sounds like your video driver keeps crashing and recovering.

After Switching the HDD to the main boot drive (both in the laptop) it works fine with no crashing. I'll try updateing my video driver too

Also I cannot open any apps like games or camera on the laptop as it will start to open and the the screen will go black until I exit out of app
  3. Updating graphics diver did nothing
