can i add my old gpu(gtx 610) with my new gpu (gtx 770)

You can use the GTX 610 as a physx card but it will lower your performance (the performance difference between the two cards is to large) and increase heat/power usage. No positive reason to use the GTX 610. So to answer your question... yes you CAN use it... but you really shouldn't.

you can use it as an independent card to run 2 extra monitors, while your 770 is the main gaming monitor.

probably right - my gaming machine is an ITX so single-card ipso facto. but I do use 3 cards on my work machine, so maybe an option is to put the GT610 aside and use it like that, or even sell it to someone who needs a cheap simple card.
