How much lowering CPU and BUS speed without affect gaming?

I'd like to have some idea how much CPU affect overall gaming experience. Perhaps there can be some sort of representation how much performance each component give toward the overall performance. ie: 70$ CPU + 150$ GPU = 150$ CPU + 70$ GPU = such game about such setting = benchmark about such result.

The reason I'm asking this is I'd like to buy a gaming PC and although I received 2 system suggestions of yet, I'm really wondering how much I should push toward GPU before it start degrading overall performance ; the subject of this thread was brought up in the thread I just linked. Of course if I buy a 3 year old new system (was forgotten in a warehouse or something), which would save a lot on the rest, and I'd replace or fill the GPU with a recent one which I could put more money toward due to the savings, I may have been better off to but a 1 year old new system instead and put the rest in a new GPU instead ; those systems might also have been lightly used instead. The reason I say new old system is to compare the average performance of what I'd currently get with a low priced or very low priced system if it wasn't for the fact that diminishing the price also lowers reliability and I'm not so much into that.

Still on the same thread, there was a mention of getting RAM at lower speed which would lower the BUS speed. I assume this is also a factor for the overall gaming experience. Personally I think the BUS speed should be as high as possible within a reasonable price, and cut the size instead of the speed.

I don't think I'm making sense but I wonder what I should do. Put more money on a GPU? Or a lot? For the rest, buy very cheap? Or used?

Thank your kindly

What do you mean by that? See the italicized part. Do you mean the CPU wouldn't feed the GPU quick enough or that something else would cause the bottleneck?

I did an update while you posted (I didn't know about your post until I updated).
