I fully assembled the rig and flipped the power button which did nothing at all. I then followed http:// to a tee. So after making sure everything was fastened down, no wires were in the way of the fans, and swapping the single ram stick to a new slot I still got nothing.

Then after redoing all the steps one more time I actually got power! Then I realized the sata cables weren't hooked up the cd drive or the hard drive so I then hooked them up real quick and powered the pc back on which I got booted to windows. I had to turn the pc off right as windows was first booted up so I could get to work. I came back home and tried to turn the pc back on just to find myself back at square one.

Please oh please Toms Hardware community help me out with this. I would be forever indebted to all of you!

Important note: the only hardware I swapped was the graphics card with a http://

Solution
Check your motherboard manual for where the pins are on your motherboard for the front panel connectors. The power switch pins will be in that group. Make sure you have the wires from the front panel plugged in to the correct pins. If you do, then look in the manual and find which two pins are for power, usually labeled something like POWER-SW or PWR-SW and use the head of a flat panel screw driver to touch both at once for a second or so until the motherboard powers on.

Shorting the power pins with a screwdriver? I am kinda clueless about that one mind filling me in?

Wow that actually worked. Ok now I have to figure out why the pins were not working when I had the case hooked up to it.

Ya everything is definitely plugged in correctly and the psu is plugged in and switched on but I get nothing. I have to get to work but I definitely appreciate your help and would love more suggestions. I am thinking of just taking the entire thing apart and rebuilding it.
