Hello all, I have a quite an annoying problem.

My internet has been going dc'ing (disconnecting) a lot recently it normally just disconnects and then I reset the modem router and it is fine for the rest of the day however it has gotten a lot worse recently, I can use the internet for about 5mins too nearly 2-3 hours before it cuts out and just repeats with the small dc's which get very irritating when trying to browse/play online games. (LoL, Hearthstone etc...)
My dad has been using AOL for a long time now (as long as I can remember) however, I am in the UK I found this quite strange but just ran with it as I don't really know a lot about networking and the like. Now, when I go to speedtest.net and run a speed-test it currently says my ISP is with TalkTalk? Strange, now it gets weirder, I was looking around the in Belkin settings (We've tried to use another modem router however that did not work out too well as it failed to connect and got my Dad moderately angry...oops) and it says that the NTP server and Back-up NTP server is North America when I'm in England, I have tried changing to EU servers but to no avail as it just resets. When the modem dc's I get the message of:
ADSL Media Down !
Also I get this message in the midst of when the modem router has finally connected to the internet again:
Can't find NTP time.
Another thing to add is that the cordless phone is quite near the modem router but I cannot move it further away since the ADSL cord is quite short also the Ethernet to my room is extremely long.

~Many thanks. epicninja21.

First thing to do is disconnect everything from your phone lines. All phones, filters and extensions. Plug your router in to the master socket (pref through a filter) and see if the problem persists. I wouldn't worry about the NTP error just now, that can be sorted later.

If the problem persists try plugging your house phone in to the same socket with no filter and make a call. If you get line noise then that could be the issue.
