16GB G.Skill on 1155 mobo

Hey,

Could I use two of these http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-19200cl10q-32gbzhd on a http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3905#ov ?

(I know there are better options, but I an curious if it would work.)

no the kit you have is a 32g kits of 4 8g dimms your mb only has two slots for 16g of ram. you want to look on parts picker for 16g kit with two dimms.

I would not have the whole kit, just the half of it for a lower price than a 16GB kit from a colleague (he doesn't need the full 32GB). So you say apart from it, there would be no technical issues with the frequency, voltage, channels or anything? (As I see there are lower values on the mobo) It would be nice if they could work like a charm

it should be fine for your mb it will default to 1333 or 1600 intel you turn on xmp profile.
