So, about a month ago, I finished building my first PC (It's really cool ). However, I've realized that a wireless connection can render the whole computer pointless if I don't get that good of a connection. With a 13 ms ping, 30 upload and 25 download, my wireless specs aren't terrible. However, my friend just got a new router that gets a 4 ms ping, 300 upload and 60 download. Mine pales in comparison. I centralize my router in the living room of my house (family members have laptops and phones and stuff). I, however, game in my room (other floor). I've got a wireless extender about 15 feet away from my computer, but it's through a thick wall, so that does slow down the connection. The problem is, I have no idea how the cables of my Internet run through my house (most of the ethernet ports in the wall are dead). The Wireless repeater has 5 ethernet cable ports, and 3 are being used. Is it possible to, in some way, split the wireless signal running to the repeater and have one side run to the repeater and the other to my computer? Or, maybe plug an ethernet cable into the repeater? Thanks!
