Hi my rig has a i5 4570 cpu and I seem to be having temperature problems while gaming. I am considering liquid cooling, would the H60 be enough? Or should I go for the H100i which is nearly double the price? Thanks

Solution
Case size is important. Since you have the non K model of cpu I would not recommend either of those. The H55-H80s are all really pointless at this point.
The H110-100 is a great cooler, but the Hyper 212 EVO beats everything up to the H80s.

Unless we know the temps we cant advise. (Anything below 60C under load is good enough)

I have not been monitoring it but it is fairly warm to touch my case, mainly where the cpu is. It usually starts to get warm about an hour and a bit into gaming. Currently I am only using the stock fan.

Do you use the stock Intel CPU cooler? If yes - I suggest replacing it with a more decent cooler. If you're looking between H60 and H100i - I recommend the H100i. Nothing beats dual rads between a single 120 rad. It will also make your system a whole lot quieter.

pay the extra for the h100i (£40 difference) you know it will do the job for sure and your not be needing to upgrade cooler in near future should you upgrade cpu or anything. the h100i has a great bit of software for temp controlling and fans check out corsair link v2. very pleased with H100i (running amd 9590 at stock with turbo mode on 5.1ghz and not anywhere near 50c full load and fans set to balanced not performence. i know intel are cooler than my cpu but still...

Are you guys not aware of the H100i's space requirements? Also, for a non-k, not overclocked CPU, you recommend water cooling? Why?

OP, we need to know actual temperatures from monitoring software, not whether or not the case is warm to the touch. That tells you precisely squat. We also need to know what case you are using in order to tell you what the best solution is. Not every cooler will fit every case.

tell us your temps and what case do you have and do you have any other fans?

liquid cooling on a non overclockable cpu is an utter waste of money...get a hyper 212 evo or if you have a small case get the tx3 or xigmatek loki, etc.
