I have the intel hd graphics 4400 I'm just wondering how to increase the performance

Would upgrading the ram or cpu help increase performance ?

Here is the laptop: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/laptops-netbooks/laptops/...

Look in the bios and see how much ram is allocated to the video/graphics. I think the default is 64meg.
Double it. It wont make a huge difference, there isnt much you can do.

Unfortunately, upgrading the CPU (which, depending on the laptop, you may not be able to do anyway) won't affect the performance of your HD Graphics 4400. It is built into the processor.

About the best you can do is what chrisso suggests and use lower graphics settings.

For laptops you can't change the clocks or any real performance characteristics. You can increase the shared ram in bios as suggested, but that won't do much for performance. One of many reasons laptops aren't the recommended gaming platform (though i play on mine with HD 4000)
