I bought a Chieftec 1000W PSU a couple of days ago for a mining RIG I'm building. The PSU worked for two days non stop with two 7950 cards. Today I added a third card. This is when the troubles started.

The PSU wouldn't start with 3 cards. I removed the third one. It still wouldn't start. I removed everything besides the 24 pin connector. Now it starts. Put everything back again. Doesn't start. Remove everything again. Doesn't start. Try MB with different PSU, works perfectly. Try with original PSU and the 24 pin connector. Works. Put again all 3 cards. Works! After 10 minutes of mining it shuts itself off. I powered it on again and the same thing happened after 30 minutes. Now it wouldn't start no matter what I do. Sometimes it would power on for like 1 second. Until after 2 hours when it worked again with 2 cards. And it's been running ever since. I have no warranty for the PSU. Can it be fixed? And is it worth being fixed?

I don't think it's possible anything else is at fault. MB works with a different PSU and the PSU won't power up a different MB (when it refuses to start).

TL;DR: PSU randomly shuts down and sometimes it won't power up again. Help!
