Currently i have an ASUS VG248QE, had it for about 2 months and am not really happy with its color reproduction and poor viewing angles. I've had another TN panel from asus that i still use as a 2nd monitor which is a 23" and its done good, but im looking to make the jump to a nice ips display instead. I'm willing to give up the 1ms and 120hz refresh rate for a 60hz with pretty colors :)

I'd like to get some recommendations on what would be a good choice for me. I would prefer a 24" with 1920x1200 and i notice most IPS monitors at this size are at that resolution but if the price is right i would consider 1080p. One more important thing to note is it needs to have an HDMI input because i plan to also connect my ps4 to the monitor along with the pc. Since i'll be needing to hook up a console to the monitor it would be great if it had a 16:9 option in the case that its 1200p to avoid black bars.

So far i've looked at the Dell UltraSharp U2412M but that one is already out the window since it doesnt have hdmi and the model is rather old at this point.

I have looked at the ASUS PA248Q as well and it looks like a strong contender.

ASUS PA249Q was another monitor i took a look at but its substantially more expensive than the PA248Q and from my understanding its best suited for graphics professionals which i am not so it wouldn't really be worth the price tag for me since i only need a monitor for general pc use and gaming.

If anyone has any other ideas for me please let me know, im trying to keep this under $400

Yeah typically asus costs a little more, but it tends to be worth it (ROG however is NOT for the money lol)

my personal preference is 27 inch, so the other two i listed are as such :p
my boss and good friend has the http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX44024, and honestly it's probably the best looking monitor i've had a chance to see in person, though im sure there are better
