Hello!
I recently bought a new computer for gaming purpose:
Motherboard : MSI 760GMA-P34 (FX)
CPU : AMD FX 8320 (eight cores)
GPU: GeForce GTX 770
What started to nag me was that while usually running around (Vsyn on - ubersampling off @ 1920 X 1080 other settings at highest possible) at 60 FPS , the FPS would suddenly drop down to 20-25 occasionally, even when just running around in a non graphically intense places. After a few - several seconds at low FPS it would go back high. If I take Vsync off, I can see the same phenomena except normal FPS would well above 100. I emphasize this happens everywhere, be it graphically low or intense situation.
Is there something that causes this that's simply related to this specific game or is it something in my rig?
Why I'm wondering about my rig is that as I was searching for discussions on this problem I ran across CPU bottlenecking. As in the CPU temp could be getting too high so the game slows down a bit so CPU can cool a bit. So I got myself CPUID HW Monitor and started to monitor CPU temp.
On totally idle I get about ~25 C , when using google chrome I get to ~37-39 C and when running Witcher 2 the CPU runs about 60 C with highest temps around 66 C.
On a sidenote I'd have to say that this problem starts to happen when a little bit into the game, few - several minutes, it does not start off the bat. So this kind of leans me a little more towards the CPU temp problem.
I have not overclocked anything, I have an CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 EVO cooler on CPU.
Any ideas , suggestions are much appreciated!
