My GPU doesn't fit in the case slots?!

Solution
I actually just took apart my cousin's computer and somehow they managed to jam the card in there with one of the backplates still installed so it was covering the ventilation slots. this was put together by someone who apparently knew how to build computers... so don't feel bad at the mistake, it's something to learn from and honestly a good learning experience if you didnt break anything
The parts don't seem to be the issue are you sure you have the motherboard properly mounted? Is the IO shield flush with the inside of the case and do the IO ports fit properly thru the IO Shield? If the boards holes line up with the risers on the motherboard panel correctly then perhaps you just popped off the wrong cover on the back of the case to properly line up the video card. It would be easier to tell what is going on with some pictures.

hi! I unscrewed the motherboard and put it back in after placing the gpu on the motherboard. I had take two of the back slots out lol so that wasn't the problem :) thank you though

I don't think you can install the motherboard with the VGA card plugged into it. The bayonet on the VGA card slides down into slots in the back of the case. Is the part of the bayonet on the VGA card that screws to the case flush with the case so it can be screwed down?

Yes the VGA card is a dual slot card so you'll have to have 2 of the back plates off I'm hope you took off the right 2 plates.
