I bought windows 8 when it first came out and I just recently had to do a fresh install. I went to my windows 8 box only to find the 32 bit version and not the 64 which I need, so I used my brothers 64 bit disc and was going to use my product key but I cant find that either and think I put in the sleeve with the 64bit cd and now its lost forever. I have the 64 bit version installed now but its asking to be activated and I was hoping someone might know if I could get the product key from the folders on the 32bit cd if I put in my 64 bit ran system? I bought it from amazon so I never received an email with the product key and I called microsoft but was on hold for almost 2 hours before giving up and seeing if someone here had a solution. So my question comes down to can you find the product key in any of the folders on a windows 8 install cd?
