Why my laptop can connect to wifi but cannot browse, login, I mean can't connect t to internet.

Why my laptop can connect to wifi but cannot browse, login, I mean can't connect t to internet. Another wifi detected by my pc with low connection bar can use normally.
Only my wifi with high connectivity bar cannot browse internet.
My PC is already reastore to factory settings.
I even install another OS in another partition. It detect wi fi and connect to it, but still the same thing, I CAN;T BROWSE THE INTERNET.

ANY OTHER IDEAS??
Please...
Than you in advance...

Anyway, the laptop detected other wifi in my office and i can use that. Only this specific wi-fi is giving me more problem.

The problem isn't with your computer. It is with your wireless router. Check your router settings because I think you have a parental block on it or it is set to block certain computers from accessing the internet.

Finally I got this answer coz this is also my findings. But can you help me how to figure and set that settings to my router?? Coz i dont know how to set that.
I am using NETGEAR ROUTER connected to our Modem.
Several hub is connected to that router for LAN purposes of many PC bcoz we have our database set in that.
I am aftraid to reset the router bcoz our IT already configured the modem to router, then router to every PC.
What information do you need to do that?

So your saying that your IT configured the router to ever PC. So that makes me think that he basically white-listed the computers and never added yours to it. So to get into your settings go on a web browser and type in this address: 192.168.0.1 Be sure you are at least connected to the wifi router; you don't need internet access.

Actually this PC was connected last few weeks and it is working fine.
I am trying to look for that Parental control that you have said. I enter my router 192.168.0.1.
Where can i found that parental control settings.
Thank you for your time by the way.
Hopefully you can help me.

But that was before someone was messing with your router am I correct? And I'm always here to help. So you were able to log in using the default username and password? I haven't used a Netgear router in a while. It should be under Wireless settings. Try clicking on every link and you eventually will come across some Parental Controls of some sort.

Funny story, few years ago when I was around 16 my step dad was all about security and trying to block me from "sites". Well, I don't like to be censored (even though I never really went on those "sites") so I did exactly what I'm telling you to do to bypass the Parental Controls. That's because he never thought of me being able to mess with the router with out using his desktop so the Netgear password was still default.

No, I mean none.
All i need now is how to find that parental control.
I can use the other laptop when connected to that wifi, but one laptop of mine does not.

But I am pretty sure that it has something to do with that parental control that you are saying.
All I need now is how to find that settings in my Netgear router. I already enter the router by typing 192.168.0.1

So among that options in the left panel, where can i find that parental control?

Let's first see my first idea of that white-list. Under "Set up" click on "Wireless settings". Next should be something called "Set up Access list". Then after that click "Add" and copy and paste in your MAC address and device name.
