Hi, my name is Douglas. I am looking for the best camcorder/camera for making a short film. I need something under $200.00. It would be GREATLY appreciated if you could find me something for $160.00 and under. Maybe a little bit over, but not that much. It doesn't have to have a mic input, but it would be preferred. I have found the Panasonic HC-V110, however, it doesn't seem all that great to me. Please help me, and reply ASAP.
Hi Douglas - If you want to be able to produce image quality like this:http://vimeo.com/76852648
Shallow depth of field like this:http://vimeo.com/29256526
And timelapses like this:http://vimeo.com/29211397
You might want to consider the Pentax Q interchangeable lens camera. This amazing camera is now on closeout for $200.
You can get a refurbished Pentax Q in white
Or you can get a new one in white
Either way, this camera will give you much better image quality than you can get from a camcorder in this price range. And, when budget permits, you can buy more lenses to create effects and "looks" that help to tell your stories better.
Hope this is helpful!
