It seems to me that to some extent sites like Anandtech and Techreport have rushed their Kaveri reviews, possibly hoping to capitalize on the ad click revenue. If you read the comments on Anandtech and Techreport, a lot of people are disappointed with the way the review was done.
Let's start with the most obvious: why haven't they reviewed graphics performance side by side between Kaveri A10, Kaveri A10 + Radeon HD 7730, and Intel Core i3 with HD 7730? This would have addressed the questions of people who are wondering "should I buy a Kaveri A10 or should I buy a cheap CPU+ dGPU card?". This would also address the earlier expectations of whether the A10 APU will really match the performance of 7730 or 7750 dGPU. In fact, it would be cool to also test a $69 Pentium G3220 with a cheap graphics card as well, as a lot of people are seriously thinking the G3220 with dGPU still beats the A10, and will cost less than Kaveri A10. Another meaningless test is to compare iGPU performance of the A10 vs Core i5 or Core i7. No one buys the Core i7 to play using its HD Graphics.
I don't know where is Tom's review, but I hope that this web site is taking time to do a very thoughtful and thorough review.
