I have an older EVGA 8800 GT running dual DVI displays. i am trying to figure out how to get my new ASUS Z87-PRO to output via HDMI to my TV (for movies ya know?).

when i select "detect displays" it lists the third display (HDMI to TV) as "Displaying device on: Mobile PC Display" and wont let me choose resolution or orientation.
and when i select "multiple displays:" and try to do something like "Duplicate desktop on 2 and 3" it wont save the settings.

overall, i want to output video to my tv and still be able to use at lease one monitor on my computer. is this possible???

try going into BIOS and set the onboard graphics as primary. that typically does the trick. if you set PCIe as primary, it disables the onboard.

If you are trying to enable he onboard video you have to do this thru the bios. After you re-enable it in the bios, windows should detect and install the necessary drivers for it.

If that doesnt work, try disconnecting one of your two monitors and using a DVI to HDMI cable to go to the tv.
