Hi everyone i've been coming to this forum looking but have never posted;

i've been doing alot of research back an forth; Im a intel guy but im taking the plung into
the amd side of things(even though every amd cpu i've had has melted down on me)

The build:

AMD FX-8350
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
CORSAIR RM Series RM550 550W (if that enough power)
reusing a hd 6670 2g entry level card(planing on upgrading this is jus getting it up an running)
i need advice for memory i wanna go with 32g with a pro windows os and make the waisted memory into a ramdisk for fast auto loaded storage
and lastly i a 1-2tb sshd from seagate ssd will be soon but sshd is a pretty good alternative
please let me know, this is gonna be an overclocking build with water cooling and an a higher end audio card.
im not one of those people who think more money means better but i want this to be bullet proof
even if its not future proof im going into a visual developement field and am gonna be gaming and
using programs like mudbox, udk, and streaming let me know thanks

If you want a "bullet proof" build, you definitely will need a better PSU. I suggest AT LEAST getting a 750 watt PSU. Also, Why are you going with Windows Pro? Any particular reason? As for memory my suggested Corsair, Kingston, G.Skill are all good brands. The speed of the ram I would go as close to DDR3-2133Mghz.

pro seams to take advantage of the ram but it probably wouldnt help considering games wont use more then 8-16 gigs
idk really and thanks for the advice i didnt know how much power this mobo may need but better to have alil more incase i get 2 graphics cards goin i jus wanted to know if im on the right track and if this board is overkill for the cpu the 9000 series seams
to expensive for the lil performance gains thanks again

It is hardly any difference between Pro vs Home Premium. Windows Pro has always been for "Professionals" such as businesses who need the networking capabilities that Windows Pro has. Trust me, I go to school for this and took a couple classes about this and from what I have learned and experienced, Windows Pro give performance gains for networks, not so much for gaming. The motherboard is a really good choice, however, may I direct you to another option?
Check out this board: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20
This is about $50 bucks cheaper and does what you need it to do. I have as well purchased this motherboard and so far I am pleased with it. Yes, you're right about the 9000 series. The FX-8350 will last you years in terms of performance. No game uses 8 cores; the most I have seen games use is two or three cores.
