Assassin's Creed 4 keeps crashing

Hey guys, so I got AC4 a while back and after installing it I started it up to find it was crashing on start up. And now, a month later, I reinstalled it and it did the same thing. So I reinstalled it AGAIN and now it just crashes as I load a saved game. I have obviously tried reinstalling the game and I have the latest drivers for my GPU. And also, every time I start up the game it says its installing a bunch of stuff like .NET Framework, DirectX, VC redistributable 2008, and some other stuff.
My specs are Intel i7 3770k 3.4GHz, EVGA GTX 770 4GB, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a 2TB 7200RPM hard drive. So its not like my machine can't handle the game. Replies or answers are greatly appreciated, thanks! :)

Can you tell me what crashing on start up means? Do you mean that the game wont start, or it starts and then a black screen, or it starts and then just closes, or is it just when loading a saved game. I've had quite a few problems with ACIV but now I've been able to iron out most of the problems.

Well it used to crash as soon as I started it up. But now I can start it up and it loads the menu, so then I'll go and select a saved game, and it will get you to the point where you can run around while the game world loads, and before the actual world or any cutscene loads it will freeze and I have to open up the task manager to close it.
I also have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit if that helps.
