Hi guys! I am planning to buy a GeForce GTX 650 Ti since it is within my budget so I can replace my GeForce GT 610. I was wondering if I can use the 650 Ti's PCI 3.0 slot with my motherboard's 2.0? Also, does the GTX 650 Ti require an external power connector to the power supply? One other thing, what else should I worry about before installing the hardware itself unto my motherboard besides electrical shocks?

Here is some info of my specs:

BIOS AMI PnP BIOS compatible with SMBIOS 2.6
AMD Athlon™ X2 dual-core processor
6 GB RAM

Also, what does Low Profile mean? I'm looking for alternatives without an extra power connector.

HD 7750 only pci-e slot x16 , 350W psu
,but you psu probably has 6 pin power connector .

slower but need no power connectors
GT 640 , 350W psu recommended
GT 630 , 300W psu at least

Should I consider getting a GT 640 instead or can a Radeon HD 7750 be compatible enough with my specs? I'm just looking for a good upgrade from my GT 610.

How many watts has your psu ?
HD 7750 is 5-6 x faster than GT 610 , Pass Mark and 3D Mark 11 Physics
GT 640 is 4x faster than GT 610 , Pass Mark

500W is usually enough even for R9 270(X) and GTX 760. But a better cpu would be needed . So, HD 7750 and GT 640 should work .
