GTX470 replaced by R9 270x

Hi,

I am thinking to replace my gtx 470 after some good years of hard work. Is it worthy of replacing it with a R9 270x or is it better to put in some more money and go for the R9 280x. I am not a heavy gamer but like to play world of tanks and battlefield 4.

Well the 280X is very overpriced at the moment. If you want to upgrade I would say go to at least that class of card.

Which include the HD7970/280x or GTX770. Since the GTX770 is cheaper by a lot right now. Get it instead.

They all come with different game bundles.

The GTX 660 / GTX 760 comes with AC4 and Splinter Cell Black List

Thanks for the quick replies. Would my current i7 920 running @ 4.0ghz be a bottleneck in this?

No. In pretty much all games, an i7 920 @4Ghz is still a very good CPU.

770 for the win. would love to reccomend 280x but the prices at atrocious.

Where i live the R9 280x is lower in price then the 770. It starts at € 280 euro's for a club 3D and you pay 299 for the MSI BF4 package.

Not a bad deal if you ask me. The 770 cost above the €300.
