item not found while copying

i am getting a constant error that "item not found" whenever i am trying to copy a file named steam_api.dll
the .dll file automaticall dissapears whenver trying to copy to the folder......
please help

if you have antivirus installed, just check in it's quarantine(when your antivirus software finds a sign of infection, it places the suspect file into quarantine). Just check there if you see your file there.
