these are my current pc parts (i upgraded my whole pc from an e2180 to a six core fx 6300 and just transferred my video card to the current build). So far my rig can play games (BF3,Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, RE6, GTA IV) at 1360x768 at a hybrid of low and medium settings.
I want to take my video card to the next level so in the future i can play at 1080p preferably (GTA V, Watch Dogs, BF4, Crysis 3 and other upcoming Big Name Games) at atleast 45FPS. (planning on upgrading the monitor after i buy the GFX card)

So my question is, is it better for me to get Sapphire Dual-X R9 270x 2gb which is priced at 9180 (Philippine) pesos while Sapphire 7950 3gb is priced at 10540 pesos. About 30$ difference. Is it worth the 30$ and will my MoBo and PSU support either of the two? my budget is 220-230$ max
Thanks in advance :)

I was wondering if the so called "mantle" will be implemented on 7xxx GFX cards of radeon or will they only be implented on R9 series? I haven't quite grasped the concept of the so called mantle technology on how it affects the performance of games

Mantle is AMD only. Its a proprietary technology. It will not appear on GFX cards. It may affect games hugely or not. No one can say yet. To be completely realistic, I expect 10% increase in Mantle vs Non-Mantle on the same video cards. Consoles however, might show bigger increases in productivity.

Yes, it will be compatible with the 7xxx series.

"However, Mantle has nothing to do with gaming consoles. "

Yes, Mantle does have everything to do with consoles. AMD supplies PS4 and XB One. In fact, AMD said that Mantle "was requested" by game developers and AMD tough of bringing the Mantle feature (intended for consoles) into the Desktop PC space. As of now, it is just looking that Mantle is moving towards PCs faster, than towards consoles. At the present moment Mantle exists only for CGN (on the desktop - most of the 7000 GPUs, Kaveri and most of the R7 and all of R9). It is solely optimized for CGN. If NV implements it, it will even hurt performance, given the fundamental differences between CUDA and CGN. AMD made Mantle open on purpose, because they know NV can't take full (if any) advantage of it. But still, game developers can use its benefits.

I searched for the specs of the card and it says Full height, dual slot, now i'm worried because my MoBo has only one PCI-E slot if i'm not mistaken. Should I go change my MoBo?
