i3 to upgrade fx 8350 worth it

Why would you go from Intel to amd? You could keep the same motherboard and spend the same on the CPU and end up with an i5

Yes, you will see a performance increase, but you will have to buy a new motherboard to go along, so that's probably not the best upgrade you can make. You could get an i5 or leave the CPU and buy a new GPU.

Depends on what you're doing, and depends on which i3 you currently have. Generally speaking it will be an upgrade, but the degree to which will depend on your current i3 and your usage of the PC.
As has been said above, an i5 would be a better upgrade.
