Is this configuration good enough?

Intel® Core™ i3-3240 3.4GHz, H61M-PRO, DDRIII 4 GB, intel HD Graphics 2500, Western Digital HDD 500GB: Spire Case CoolBox D500BP.
I want to buy this PC and i was wondering, is the motherboard future proof because i plan on upgrading the pc?
And is it worth 420$?

The motherboard uses a dead end socket. It can still be upgraded to an i5 or i7 though.

What do you want to do with the computer?

I was planning to upgrade it with i5 or i7 so that is OK.
I'm going to use the computer for editing and sometimes for gaming.

You will need a GPU for gaming which will result in also needing to replace the PSU.

Yes, more than enough as long as it is a quality unit from Antec, XFX, COrsair, Seasonic.
