hey so i iv recently made some posts about possible builds..
in one of the responses there was one saying Z77 is outdated hardware or something like Z87 & 4th gen is better that a 4th gen i5 won't bottleneck & so on so i decided it would be best to get a newer chipset and get a 4th gen processor, heres what i got..

i5 4670
asus z87-a mobo
mushkin enhanced blackline 8gbs ddr3 1600mhz
240pin dual channel
evga gt 640 2gb ddr3 (good enuf 4 the money also will upgrade a.s.a.p)
drw-24b1st
western digital caviar black 500gb hdd7200rpm
corsair cx600w psu ( will upgrade with gpu)
corsair graphite 230t

so with this newest i5 the 4th gen are thinge to have better performance?
or should i stick with Z77 i personally like the Z87 the mobo is everything i couldn't find in a Z77 mobo..
but with this newer i5 what would be the highest
gpu the i5 4670 can handle without bottlenecking"

and can i still use windows 7 64bit either professional or ultimate on the new board?

if your woundering the gpu i would upgrade to a gtx 760 sc w/ acx cooler.

psu would get a corsair cx750.

Obviously Windows 7 Professional or uLtimate 64 bit is good to go always...but its better you stay updated with Windows 8 PRO or Enterprise. Next , your present GPU the gt 640 2gb ddr3 is a bit inappropriate for modern gaming at high details and resolution....ddr3 is way slower than todays gddr5 standard.
And yeah , planning a strong haswell gaming rig in mind , prefer z87 to z77.

now i am looking at the i7 4770
note i plan to use this build for gaming and basic pc computing so would it be better for me to get a i5 4670
or get i7 4770 ihear it better than the i5 4670.

also im building this around February also upgrading will be awhile so just get like a full 760 as mentioned?
but it would kil meh budget lol my budget is $800 lol
so like should i get an i5 or i7 which is better for gaming?

The i5 will perform about the same in games and is about $100 less, go with that. Would you need an OS with the build? You can go much cheaper and get AMD, you won't really see a performance change in gaming at all.
