Hello, As my first post I want to thank everyone in advance for stopping in to help, learn, or just see whats happening.
So here is my issue. First time computer builder, although fairly versed with computers, well researched (to a point), and ready to take ideas/info from anyone and apply them into my situation. So far here is the idea of the build. Mostly black, black/red, room for upgrades later, I get some components cheaper then standard prices (example, the fx-8320 I got new for 60 bucks) BUT my price deals are random, and I want quality over price savings. The motherboard I will be ordering from newegg or ncix probably.
I would like room for OCing (just to the 4.0 mark to match the 8350), but not a big deal if its not advised on the board I can always deal for now.. or break it and buy a new one.. so meh I want the option of OCing.
Things set in stone~
FX-8320
Corsair 650D case
EVGA 650G PSU (full mod)
Need Motherboard. Price points (under $200 USD, Upstate NY) Purchasing tonight.
Req's-
- ATX board
-Must have a PS/2 port.
-Must NOT require bios update
-Must be Black, Black/Red, Black/Grey, Black/Silver, NO BLUE (unless I can paint it and then ISO info on "painting a mobo" lol )
Boards I have looked at.
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 (the 5 and 7 i have looked at also do not see a reason, If I am wrong lmk)
ASRock 990FX Extreme4 (also looked at the 3)
Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
Looked at the fomula-z board, but at 225$ idk if there is an advantage to it.
Other then this.. let me know if you need any more info be glad to provide.
