Hi,

I recently bought this gpu and I got artifacts in assassins creed 3 and world of Warcraft. It'd be odd to me that the problem would be overheating as I don't get low frames or anything else. It's not all the time I play but only in some parts and they disappear when reloading or restarting the game or the PC. I cat get th temperatures with Everest because my MB does not have a sensor.

PC specs:
Processor: A8-5500k at 3.2Ghz
Memory: 6gb Ram ddr3
Motherboard: MS-7770 (jasmine)
PSU: Aerocool strike-x 800W
GPU: Gigabyte windforce radeon r9 280x OC version.

Any advices? Should I return it or wait?

It's the hp's p7-1414 tower. It actually looks kinda tight and that's why I now keep the case open.

It might be problem with drivers. I mean....it seems just odd to me that so many people report having artifacts and flickering..I hardly believe that every second card is rubbish.

So I should just wait till there's a new driver available? I installed the last version yesterday. The artifacts and flickering are minimum, that's what is odd.

You're right, actually it was well plugged. Anyway, I'm RMAing because I've checked the fan speed and made a stress test with fur mark and temperature never goes above 80°C even in 15 mins stress test.

I monitored temperature and fan speed and burned it with furmark on 1080 preset, nevertheless, temp. didn't go above 70°C, 97% fan speed. It didn't show any anomalies in the burn test. This just happens with games, it seems.
