I am building a new gaming pc for Wow. I have all the parts ordered and I'm picking up the GPU, monitor and PSU up today. I forgot to get a DVD drive for this system. That is essential for a build to load windows, correct? My other question is, do all the wires come with the ordered parts ? Sorry about the newbie questions. Thanks

That is normal, harddrives don't come with cables. All the cables you will need come with the motherboard, most of the time they come with 4 sata cables or more to hook your harddrive and dvd drive up and will come with a sli and/or CF bridge. The power supply will come with all cables to power everything, and the Video card will come with a few molex to 6 pin power adaptors.

Also you don't have to have a dvd drive for your computer. I keep 1 sata dvd drive laying around and a usb drive as well for any disc installs that I might need. None of my computers over the last 4 years have had a optical drive in them after the windows install, Ive never needed them afterwords so they always get pulled out after the windows install and driver.

Thank you. Also I could just pull the DVD drive out of the computer I'm using right now, right? It's just a factory made HP that I'm on, that would work with my new build right?
