Asrock H61M-VG3 Ram per slot

I got this mobo, got 4gb 1600 stick already and im planning on get another 4gb or just a 8gb stick,

i cant find how much RAM my mobo supports per slot, i think the max memory ram supported is 16gb, im not sure.

Max memory is 16GB. This means you can used compatible 8GB memory modules. For best performance, the 2 memory modules should be the same make/model.

thanks for your reply, should i get a stick of 8gb?

or another 4gb identical to work in dual channel?

would work my 4gb plus 8gb = 12gb?

For dual channel operations, you need the 2 modules to match. However, the performance difference between single and dual channel is not significant.

Mixing memory can cause stability issues and may actually slow down your memory.

Thanks for your reply,i think ill try to get the same stick that i already have, if not, id just get a 8gb stick and drop the 4gb ''old'' one, to avoid issues.
